I Was Afraid For My Life, Guv’nor.

As is so often the case, the crude and unlawful antics of their own are covered over and whisked under the carpet by the very people who are supposed to protect the public against police brutality.

Sergeant Delroy Smellie bashed a five-foot four inch tall young woman who was shouting at him during the G20 demonstrations in London. The six-foot four-inch tall policeman then hit her twice across the leg with an expanding club, leaving her bruised and bleeding.

The confrontation was filmed and posted on YouTube. If the video is studied, it can clearly be seen that this huge man, who dwarfs his tiny opponent, backhanded her across the face, then stepped back, deliberately drew his baton and really clobbered this small woman across the leg twice.

He has been cleared of all charges by the Independent Police Complaints Commission after being cleared of common assault in March.

I just wonder what actions would need to be taken by this monstrous clown before he is arrested and convicted of any sort of assault.
