Make a promise: keep that promise!

Some two years (less ten days) ago, I wrote on two tragic deaths. One death was that of Michael Brown, a two-hundred-odd pound, six-foot-four black man, who was shot at close range by a Ferguson, Missouri cop as Brown ran towards him, intent of some weird notion that he was invulnerable. He died because he did not obey an armed policeman; he died for his stupidity. I also wrote of the truly insane actions of the Obama White House in sending down three aides to the funeral, as well as the motives of former Atty.Gen. Holder (He of the ‘Fast and Furious’ scandal) in denigrating the actions of policemen who were later found to be above reproach!

I mentioned two tragedies; the second being the sad and senseless death of Kate Steinle at the hands of a Mexican illegal felon, five times deported and still allowed to return, and protected against arrest by San Francisco’s ‘Sanctuary’ status. She was shot as she strolled on San Francisco’s Embarcadero, and she died in her father’s arms.

I write in celebration of President Trump’s determination to ‘Make America Safe Again’ as Kate’s Law is reintroduced into Congress with every hope of bypassing the Democrat’s filibuster which stopped it last year. This legislation will slam deportees who return illegally with a five year sentence. The other bill, called the No Sanctuary for Criminals Act, would bar some federal grants from so-called “sanctuary cities” that do not cooperate with federal immigration enforcement authorities and allow victims of crimes committed by illegal immigrants to sue those cities. Which, as the link shows, they cannot do now!

Some may argue that this President has not gone ‘all the way’ which he proposed during campaigning. I would respond by stating that the President has learned to fight the fights he reckons he can win, and America likes the way he has kept his promises.
