Dear Roman Catholics; and people worldwide…..

You trusted us on the  Spanish Inquisition.

You trusted us on the Nazis.

You trusted us when we told you those small children would be entirely safe with our priests, despite overwhelming proof to the contrary.

You really trusted us when scandal erupted over the totally-crooked and criminal activity of the Vatican Bank.

You also trusted us before the Adoption Scandals broke in Spain and Australia.

So please, even pretty please; Trust us when we speak out on Climate Change, because we know of what we speak, and its all for the poor people, anyway! Ignore the fact that we are people leading a Religion; ignore the equal fact that we quote no realistic science at all; ignore the truth that the vast majority of the science studies, statistics and volumes of so-called ‘proof’ come from sources tainted by government grants, from endorsement by crooked and venal politicians, ignore the fact that those who speak out against the Gospels of Climate Change are unbelievers, indeed even Deniers; and when you think of that awful charge against anyone that he is a ‘Denier’: just return to the One True Fold, and accept that We know what is good for both you, and the World.

Your Brother on High

Was he just a ‘fruit-and-nutcase’: or

was he a Muslim fruit-and-nutcase; or was he just a Muslim being a Muslim, acting to Muslim traditional behaviour.?

Freda Odame, 30, a supermarket worker who lives a few doors from the house where the woman was found beheaded, said she looked out of her window and saw the man wielding a machete with a “crazed look” in his eyes.

She said: “He was waving a huge machete around like a madman. He was shouting stuff. It didn’t make sense, it was like he was speaking in tongues.

“His eyes had a fury in them, lots of anger and hate. He was shouting and screaming, thrashing around.

When ‘red line’ doesn’t come from a rev. counter

When will Western politicians even begin to understand that they do not know ANYTHING about Middle Eastern politics, religion, tribal loyalties or any thought which expresses an ideal that ‘if only we can kill a few of the bad guys, all will be well’? We read, week after week, and ramping up to daily briefings from ‘connected observers’ that the US, France, the UK and other ‘friendly’ Governments are drawing ‘red lines’ in the sand. These so-called ‘red lines’ are based around the possible use of chemical weaponry by the Assad government against the rebellious bunch who loosely fight under the title of the ‘Free Syria’ movement. Not much of the UN mentioned around those ‘red line’ ideas, but, since China and Russia still wield a veto, the rest of the Security Council knows only too well that their opponents have learned to read.

Someone must explain, using cards and symbols if necessary, what the difference is between dying from a tank shell, or a mortar shell, or a cluster bomb, or a pre-laid roadside bomb; and a death by means of a nerve gas, a chemical spray or a contaminated water supply? There are no degrees of death, you are either alive, or you are dead, so what is the difference?

We are now watching as Obama, pushed no doubt by his military, starts thinking along the lines of ‘surgical strikes’ and ‘contained out-reach’, along with all the other bullshit phrases so beloved of the ‘Liberal Elite’ who see something nasty happening half a world away, and demand that ‘something should be done’. Our own clown prince Prime Minister of course is repeating the same slogans, warning one set of murderous fools against killing another set of murdering idiots, all the while continuing to downgrade our own military machine which of course he wants to use to kill one or other of the aforementioned fools if they don’t behave.

MY six-pennorth? Stand well back, and let them all kill each other; lending a hand only to aid the one Country, Israel: which just wishes to be left in peace, but, because of the internecine politics and hatreds of the whole region, is set up as a target once the next set of wild-eyed radicals gains power in that whole blood-soaked area!

to form a more perfect Union!

The usual uproar surrounding the very word ‘Abortion’ commenced about five milli-seconds after the announcement that Marie Stopes was opening an abortion clinic in Belfast.

Firstly, I would like to clarify my own position on this extremely touchy subject, which is that whilst I dearly wish the mothers-to-be would not seek to terminate the new life which is inside their bodies, I hold the belief that their bodies are their own to control, and if they wish to terminate that unborn life, so be it! My reasoning has nothing to do with any religion, or indeed a belief stemming from any religion; it is just that if that future child is indeed unwanted by its mother, a life which is begun in hate, rejection and loathing bodes badly for that life.

I listened to the voice of Jim Allister this morning as he placed his views on record that the proposed Clinic has no place in Northern Ireland because of the Province’s culture, and this is maybe where I part company with Mr. Allister, partly because of the many statements by the T.U.V. which encourage ever closer links and ties with the mainland of the British Isles. I would say to Mr. Allister that you cannot pick and choose which parts of the United Kingdom’s Laws should be held to a higher standard in Northern Ireland than on the mainland. Abortion is a fact of life in England, Wales and Scotland, why should there be any difference in the Province of Northern Ireland? The Law is more strictly controlled in Northern Ireland, is much more restrictive, and the question which should be asked is simply ‘Why is Northern Ireland so special?’ Is life, or future life, looked upon as more precious than in, say, London, Bristol or Arbroath? I would also ask Mr. Allister if he likes being of one mind with Sinn Fein on this, or any issue of individual judgement or morality?

I am a great believer in having one set of laws for everyone, with no special dispensation or caveats for ‘certain areas, cultures or creeds’. If we all have to obey the same Law, then the same facilities, legal and lawful, should be available to all the Subjects of the Crown, wherever that Rule pertains!

I’m not………..bothered!

For many years, I was a dutiful Catholic. The faith which I was brought up to believe in, stayed with me for many years, my kids were all baptised; the finest person I have ever had the privilege of knowing is a very elderly lady who has been in that same religious life for over seventy years, other members of my wider family are or have also been in religion. I have walked and talked with men of astounding faith, and I have also talked with equally astounding evil, without recognising that evil in at least one man, and over the years, I have come to a conclusion. I have not left my religion; because of stances taken, or of judgements made, of decisions and rulings given, I reckoned that my religion has left me.

The stance taken by the Roman Catholic hierarchy in Germany is a case in point. Not many British people either know or care that a part of the general taxation in Germany, as well as other European countries, is specifically targeted at both the Protestant and Roman Catholic churches, but, according to the latest calculations, the totals amount to some 5 billion Euros (£4 billion) for the German Catholic Hierarchy, and about 4.3 billion Euros for the Protestant Churches in 2010 alone. This substantial amount of cash is, to use an accountancy phrase, what is budgeted for; and if the tax collection drops, the bishops don’t get the petrol bills paid for their BMW’s, and that can get a little bit disconcerting! As a direct result of the ‘child abuse scandals’ many Roman Catholics have just given up going to church, as they have lost faith with their Church, not with their Faith, and in Germany, one of the things which churchgoers can do to make a point is to advise their friendly tax collectors that the portion of their taxes which is earmarked for their Church is no longer to be collected from their earnings. As the ‘leaving’ numbers have rocketed towards 181,000 last year alone, you can well imagine the worry beads coming out of the closet all over the German Catholic churches, never mind the Protestant ones.

So the true Germanic mind, so well-known in certain military circles as believing in order, and also that ‘an order is an order’, reacted in the worst possible manner by declaring that people who ‘opt-out’ of the church tax system should not be given sacraments and religious burials, getting tougher on worshippers who choose not to pay. Alarmed by a wave of dissenting Catholics quitting the faith, the bishops issued a decree on Thursday declaring such defection “a serious lapse” and listed a wide range of church activities from which they must be excluded. Those who have refused to pay the tax are excluded from choirs, they cannot marry in a Catholic church, they cannot work in church schools, they cannot be buried in consecrated ground. This ‘Ordnung’ was backed by, who else but the Vatican!

simony,  the buying or selling of something spiritual or closely connected with the spiritual. More widely, it is any contract of this kind is forbidden by divine or ecclesiastical law.

Trust the Krauts to get it so wrong, in the pursuit of something they believe is so right!

Eve; not Steve

The heading to this post is taken from a man/community/nation with whom I have a great deal of affection, namely Middle America. He was being interviewed, ‘vox pop’ style for t.v. news, about the statement made by his President on the subject of ‘gay’ marriage, or to place it in its rightful context, Homosexual Marriage. He stood firm when asked the question, baseball cap pushed back on his head, grizzled and slightly greying, and replied “God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!” I personally have never heard that statement before, although one presumes it was not coined that morning. His stance reminded me, an elderly Englishman, of only one other time when America, and all who lived there, were so comprehensively misunderstood. That time was when the Japanese military began preparations for war, and they didn’t even consider America to be even a threat on their horizon. Once the Pacific Fleet was destroyed, the mongrel nation America would see sense, fold their cards and leave the game; so ran the thoughts of the politicians/military ‘geniuses’ who planned Pearl Harbour. The massive fleets which darkened the seas, which absorbed the ‘kamikazes’ without flinching; the sheer, overwhelming military might of the greatest industrial nation the world had ever seen gave those ‘geniuses’ their answer.

Just two steps behind Prime Minister Cameron stands the awful Lynne Featherstone, Minister for so-called Equalities. One presumes that she is tearing handfuls of blankets apart after the silent revolt against homosexual marriage, orchestrated by senior Tories, Churchmen and ordinary Tories who were just plain ‘fed up’ with the ‘on message’ stance of their leader; and hit Cameron and his Coalition with a broadside which rocked Downing Street because they were so completely unprepared for it. Here was trendy Dave, trying to tell the electorate that he sympathised with a tiny handful of weirdies who couldn’t understand why they still felt ‘apart’ from life, and who also demanded the ‘right’ to marry; as if the repeal of that last legal barrier would provide ‘completion’ or ‘fulfilment’, or whatever buzz-word turns the bent crowd on these days, and his Party turned around and stated, ‘Enough’!

True, the ‘Gay marriage’ bit is being quietly shelved, and the Lib-Dems are being told to ‘shut it’, but have you ever considered what will happen when the sheep, who have never ever lifted their eyes higher than ‘Eastenders’ or ‘Coronation Street’; whose lives are complete now they are watching ‘Britain’s got Talent’ or some equally soulless show on another t.v. channel, whose children comprise the feral and the fearless; ever consider what happens when they will vote massively for Labour because they dislike the reality which is the core behind the Coalition? You will see Harriet Harman, even worse in my mind’s eye than Featherstone could ever be, standing at the Despatch Box pushing that same ‘Homosexual Marriage’ agenda through with a majority which doesn’t need Lynne to bolster it.

Decline and Fall in 58 Minutes & 54 Seconds

The words in the above title includes the actual length of a BBC Documentary. Now normally, given the present state of the total left-wing bias  within the BBC as a so-called Public Service Institution, I would be either tearing the words and statements within apart, or encouraging the sneers and attacks which I would hope to be generated by my writing. But there is a very strange dichotomy within the BBC, and singularly within the non-News and Political Commentary side of things, in that occasionally the BBC does produce or broadcast a remarkably un-biased Documentary upon the strangest of subjects. Whether it be Enoch Powell, Carl Sagan, The World at War or Alistair Cooke’s America, one has come to expect brilliance in production, narration and content without the expected smearing veneer of BBC values and Lefty diatribes.

The Documentary, as mentioned in that same title, was called ‘This World, the Shame of the Catholic Church’, and those 58 minutes and 54 seconds exposed the shame, the sin and the extraordinary squirming of the most senior Catholic in Ireland, Cardinal John (Sean) Brady. If you did not watch it when broadcast, I urge you to watch it in the BBC iPlayer. Watch it because there aren’t many theatrics, not too much moody backing music; but simply because it details the shoddy political manoeuvring of senior people within the Catholic Church in the island of Ireland to protect those who did not deserve protection, whilst allowing abuse of an industrial nature to be carried on by the men who stood in pulpits and moralised to their flocks.

This is an uncomfortable post to be writing, because I have two relatives in Religious life at the moment; one of whom is a priest in Northern Ireland, the other, a dearly-loved and elderly aunt overseas. But it has to be written, because the Truth must always be brought forth, no matter who is indicted, no matter how high that person may have risen. I have written before of the abuses rained down on the small bodies of the kids who attended Bindoon in Australia, of the tens of thousands who were ‘given a new life’ in the former Colonies of the British Empire, now known of course as the Commonwealth, but nowhere has there been such cynical manipulation as with this same Catholic Church with their constant movements of peaedophile priests, and the equally-ferocious attempts to conceal the truth in order to protect the reputation of their Church

The Catholic Church used to have tremendous sway over the lives of all the Catholics both in the Republic and in the Province; but one must ask, in all sincerity, if that authority has been diminished or smashed apart by its own inaction; what has taken its place?
